Our mission is to create a platform to share knowledge and drive investment.

The entrepreneurial process is wrought with landmines and challenges. It has long been tradition in the world of entrepreneurs to help newcomers by passing on information. Whether it is a restaurateur training his children to take over, or a fortune 500 CEO mentoring his replacement, the wisdom and knowledge that an entrepreneur can pass on is valuable.

Our Story

Our platform currently offers a wealth of knowledge from experienced entrepreneurs and investors.

Our mission is to make entrepreneurial knowledge as transparent and simple to access as possible. We want to create an accessible and friendly environment so that all entrepreneurs from novice college graduate to the accomplished entrepreneur with 20 years+ experience can all participate.

We also share stories of companies that sell for $100,000 to $50 million, revealing insights that lead to life-changing exits. We believe in lifting up founders who don't follow the Silicon Valley narrative.

Silicon Valley tells us success means selling for hundreds of millions of dollars, a result of fast growth at all costs and raising lots of venture capital.

But for many entrepreneurs, there's a more likely and more appealing option: a smaller yet life-changing exit, accomplished through thoughtful, sustainable growth while retaining ownership through bootstrapping or minimum funding.

We tell the stories of entrepreneurs who play in this space, offering resources and guidance. Because not every founder wants to build a unicorn.

Roadmap to Growth

Below we have laid out our growth plan for the next two years along with the KPI’s to measure success.

Step 1 - Launch

Timeline: 3 months (January 2022 - March 2022)

Plan: Within the first 3 months we want to hit 60,000 monthly readers, publish 60 interviews with startup founders and investors.

Step 2 - Growth

Timeline: 3 months (April 2022 - June 2022)

Plan: Within the first 6 months, we want to hit 300,000 monthly readers, publish another 60 interviews bringing us to a total of 120 interviews.

Key Performance Indicators: The KPIs are our measure of success or failure.

  • Monthly Readership: 300,000

  • Interviews Published: 120

  • Advertisers: 2 per week

  • Team Size: 6

Step 3 - Expansion

Timeline: 3 months (July 2022 - September 2022)

Plan: Within the first 9 months, we want to hit 600,000 monthly readers, publish another 60 interviews bringing us to a total of 180 interviews.

Step 4 - Super Expansion

Timeline: 3 months (October 2022 - December 2022)

Plan: Within the first 9 months, we want to hit 1,000,000 monthly readers, publish another 60 interviews bringing us to a total of 240 interviews.

  • Monthly Readership: 1,000,000

  • Advertisers: 4 per week

Step 5 - BLDR+

Timeline: 6 months (January 2023 - June 2023)

Plan: Within the first 6 months of year 2, we want to hit 1,300,000 monthly readers, publish another 120 interviews bringing us to a total of 360 interviews. Add a paid side hustle subscription model (called BLDR+). This will include weekly business plans that will give budding entrepreneurs ideas on what side hustle they should try building. Funding may need to be raised in order to build a team of content creators.

Step 6 - BLDR Podcast

Timeline: 6 months (July 2023 - December 2023)

Plan: Within H2 of 2023, we want to hit 2,000,000 monthly readers, publish another 120 interviews bringing us to a total of 480 interviews. Add a video podcast to enrich our content offering.
